Who's this? Make a guess!! :)

6-sided star

starlet starlet nite...
us and our interesting formation on herngy's bday celebration nite.

yum yum...

had a hearty thai dinner at khao san after our hectic day of shopping.

I really applaud my colleague's stamina to shop. She can really shop non-stop for the whole day. We just lagged behind with our feet and back aches.

when i was in bbk this time, i felt as though it was yesterday that i was there. the previous trip was in april but everything still looked so familiar... the 'skillful' cab drivers, the tuk tuks, asia hotel, the lady that sold us the mango glutinous rice, the massage palor, mbk, the food.... at that point, i kinda missed my 2 traveling buddies.

this time round, i was there with my colleagues and it felt diff... probably we are still new to each other and so we would be more ke qi. but i would say it was a rather fruitful trip. managed to buy most of the stuff that i intended to. also feel more comfortable with my colleagues now.

the Sunday @dventure...

all geared up to go for our exciting trekking trip at MacRitchie but it din not happen because of the drizzle.. we were disappointed cos we were both so hyped up abt gog, abt exercising. so plan b came up after much tot... we decided to catch Charlie n the Chocolate Factory.

it was a long journey to buy the tix. We missed the earlier show so we dcd to head down to cine to check out their time slots but it turned out to be later than lido, so we walked all the way back again. i think we completed abt a quarter of wat we were supposed to for trekking. but the catching up along the way was pleasant. :) updating each other abt our lives and just chit chat.

the show turned out to be enjoyabe even though there were negative comments abt it. after the show, we were still talking abt the scenes. johnny depp is way cool. i think he's a good actor, able to bring out the personality of willy wonka. and i particularly like the idea of the candy garden, where you can eat anything from it, the grass, the plants and drink from the chocolate river. haaa....

as predicted, we went to our 'fav' meal place, sakae sushi... haven been there for ages cos i found a better place. hehe... but anyway, it was just like the good old times, ordering the same dishes.

soon after, we headed to h's home and to the void deck where we met him... we din know wat's his name was so i came up with a silly name: gou gou. hehe... that's how i address dogs in general. he is too cute to resist. who would be so cruel to abandon such a cutie like him? Though he is big, he is lovable. moreover, being a golden retriever, he's so obedient.

herng was contemplating abt bringing gou gou home cos her parents already signalled their disapproval about bringing an abandoned dog home. but deep down, i know she will still bring him home. finally, she decided to bring him back for the nite and ring up the spca pple the next day. So, our 'dog smuggling' journey began. we only managed to get him onto the car with the help of the heartlanders. i will not forget that scene when all of them waved goodbye to us and wished us good luck. thankfully, he was really obedient, sat throughout the car journey only rising up when the car stops at the junctions.

if it was back in the student days, i would have stayed over at her house, to help settle gou gou the next day. but i cant even though i would love to. i hope gou gou will be happy settling down at his new environment. :) would love to see him again.

wat a wonderful sunday!!

sistas @ dimsum dollies performance

the sistas posing with our ticket to Dimsum Dollies. It was great, esp for the first experience at Esplanade. :)

tick tock tick tock

this entry is made cos i'm waiting for the clock to strike 1830.

There is nothing much to do for the afternoon cos boss is out of town again. So here i am blogging....

The morning was a contrast cos i was rushing to meet the deadline to print out stuff for the major presentation happening in KL. it was like rushing for project submission back in the school days. I rem those times when we were rather last min and had to queue to wait for the printouts from the school's printers. And when there's a long wait of pple, your heart just pounds faster. hehe...

tis morn, i experienced that adrenalin rush again. i was quite kan cheong and was giving out a soft cry, calling out on Jesus for Him to calm me. anyways, i hope we get the deal cos it's my first piece of hardwork! i even used a bit of basics photoshop to edit a picture. hehe....

i rem the first week i was getting bored with nothing much to do at work. gradually i got used to it and i think now i've to pull myself out of this mud cos we'll be starting full force soon. haha.....

nice time of bonding with my dept. :)

...Sunshine after the rain...

Just yesterday, i was thinking that i have accomplished nothing much at my age. I just started work and am still trying to find out what i really want to do. Then i recalled, i have friends who are of the same age but they seem to have attain much more. One is a doctor now, another getting hitched soon, one got a masters, another one just bought a sporty car etc... so that was yesterday...

met up with some sisters for bs today, we were praying for other sisters who were going through tough times in life. That session snapped me out of yesterday's tots. Everybody leads a different life and we have no control over that. And as we were praying, i was reminded that God did not promise skies to be blue, flowers to bloom everyday or life to be smooth sailing but He has promised something more precious. And i'm thankful for that. It is also thru the ups and downs do i learn to trust in Jesus and grow in Him. It's not that i'm craving for trials now so that i can experience all that but that i'm once again reminded of the sunshine & rainbow that can be seen after the rain. :)

1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2through whom we have gained access by faith into this
grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the
hope
of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we also rejoice in
our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces
perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character,
hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God
has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
whom he has given us. ~ Romans 5:1-5
