Everyday is NEW!

2006 marks a new beginning, a new chapter of my life. Or is it? Actually life doesnt change much even though it's already 2006. It jus goes on. I still need to wake up early, travel down town, work till evening and off i go. So, everyday can be a new beginning for us. :)

but in the new year, i'm waiting in anticipation for certain things to happen.. hee.. like tres' website to be up, business to grow, travelling, mastering a new language, etc...etc... and not forgetting, we are one year closer to the return of the King.

i'm also grateful for the past year of how Jesus has led me thru every incidents of my life. His grace is indeed sufficient for me and i'm assured that He WILL be there guiding my everday in year 2006. ah... such assurance...

I have been reading Job recently because i've started on this book, A sinners' guide to holiness and it has quotes from Job.

Job 9:1-10

1Then Job replied:

2 "Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can a mortal be righteous before God?
3 Though one wished to dispute with him,
he could not answer him one time out of a thousand.
4 His wisdom is profound, his power is vast.
Who has resisted him and come out unscathed?
5 He moves mountains without their knowing it
and overturns them in his anger.
6 He shakes the earth from its place
and makes its pillars tremble.
7 He speaks to the sun and it does not shine;
he seals off the light of the stars.
8 He alone stretches out the heavens
and treads on the waves of the sea.
9 He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion,
the Pleiades and the constellations of the south.
10 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

The passage reminded me that unlike the Creator, the created is so small and helpless.

i pray for a renewed heart to love Him each day and to be obedient! :)

Memorable BKK Trip

Us @ the newly opened Paragon. (it's really nice & big!!)

Our BKK trip was planned with the intention of 3 full days of endless shopping. We were all so hyped up before going; from planning of how big our luggage bag should be so that it'll be enuff to contain our purchases to thinking of the itinerary and food to eat.

YES, we did our shopping though it was not as hectic as we intended to be. BUT the saints from Mahachai added a different touch to this holiday. All in all, I had fun!!! Because of the sisters, the silly pictures we took, the not-so-hectic and group shopping, the yummilicious meals, the car-racing kind of driving, the sunday meetings and the fun-loving Mahachai saints. I really thank God that we met up with the saints. They were so warm and hospitable towards us and at the end of it all, I concluded that God's love can be expressed through his church. I see Christ's love from them. That's the practical aspect of loving one another.

I pray that wherever we are and watever we are doing, we'll continue to await on His return eagerly and to walk this narrow way until that Day comes.

Us taking silly pics in Joe's car.

inspirational poem

"Bokery Bokery Bok
O, I'm so bored
The text goes in, and quickly comes out
Bokery Bokery Bok"
~ Herng Wei, Chan

the above poet was inspired by the articles that she was reading at the office. :)

random tots

for the past few days, the weather has been rather quirky. it was neither sunny nor warm but rather, it has been chilly. Walking on the streets has become pleasant because of the breeze and cool temperature. the weather creates the atmosphere that holidays are quickening and the year is drawing to an end. somehow, i wish that this temperature will go on for a while.

have been praying and thinking about work and what lies ahead. but i figured that it'll be solved somehow because He's still in control so i shdnt worry much.

i'm pretty excited abt my upcoming korean lesson. have been wanting to pick up a third language all this while but couldnt decide which one. before i concluded on korean, i was toying with taking up spanish, german or japanese. but a conversation with a friend led us to decide that it'll be korean. no particular reason for me but of course i wldnt say that it has nothing to do with all the k-dramas i have been watching. however, it's not all abt that, i'm sure. hee...

talking abt k-dramas, i must recommend little bride (sweet 18). some episodes are so funny that i nearly rolled on the floor and other parts are jus plain sweet.

looking forward to the 'cooking' lesson on saturday. :)

Pulau Ubin like before

1/2 a day cycling adventure at Ubin. it was a delightful change from our usual tennis sessions on saturday as we cycled pass muddy terrains, saw weird looking creatures and explored the rustic side of Ubin.
