silly things in life

silly things or incidents happen and at times, we allow them to come by knowing/unknowingly. At that point in time, it may not appear silly. But perhaps days, months or years later, when we recall those moments, we realise that it was indeed silly. we laugh abt it, wish that it din happen or try to erase it from our memories.

i see it as a growing up process. we just grow out of some things as we age, mature or change and when we look back, we cant believe we actually did this and tat. haa... but watever it was, it created an impression and left a memory in life.

eternal glory

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Precious Goal!

when a serious atheletic runs in a race, he sets the goal in mind as his motivation. Especially in the olympics, the medal seems so precious. similarly, in our christian race, we have to know why we are running and where we are heading. With that in mind, even though something crops up along the way, we will still persevere on because the end point/reward is just too precious to forgo.

i pray that i will see the preciousness of this hope and continue to persevere in life.

was very touched by sis mildred's sharing last week. she is someone who treasures her salvation and really clings on to the Lord. She has 4 children and all of them are special. And they require a lot of attention from her. I rem one sister telling me that 1 autistic child = 3 normal children. Aw man... can you imagine? being in sunday school, i know that it's really difficult. she was sharing that without God, she would have jumped or gone crazy. It's so tough for her but knowing that God's grace is sufficient, she goes on. I'm encouraged... indeed, it is the Lord who has been sustaining her till now. i thank God for a sister like her and i pray that she will continue to hold on to this hope.
