God's grace, mercy, goodness & love
where are U, God? where is Ur love and goodness? are U even there?
this may run thru some pple's minds when disasters, wars, and disappointments in life happens. why question or blame Him? is it cos it's beyond man's control, then the accusation finger just had to point somewhere.
do we only praise God when good things happen to us? if so, we really have to question ourselves.
i started reading a book since August. The title is How long, O Lord? by D.A Carson. My progress has been real slow but i really enjoy the book. It helps me to think of issues on suffering and evil.
why is there suffering on earth and why are there inequality around the world? The rich seems to get richer and the poor poorer. It's not fair.... some pple seems to suffer much more than others.
There's nothing as being fair or not fair. Who are we to even say what is fair and wat isnt? Wat basis of measurement are we to take? then it's also not fair that Jesus has to die to save us. Everything that we have now reflects of God's mercy and grace. It's really nothing that we deserve cos of sin. we all deserve to die.
1There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2And he answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? 3No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? 5No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."
If some die under a barbarous governor, and others in a tragic accident, it is no more than they deserve. But that doesnt mean that others deserve any less. Rather, the implication is that it is only God's mercy that has kept them alive. There is certainly no moral superiority on their part.
Disasters or setbacks in life are painful but they are incentives to repentance. If we think that we deserve the times of blessing and prosperity, and that the times of war and disaster are not only unfair but only question God's goodness or power - even perhaps his very existence. If we think likewise. we ought to make some fundamental realignments.
even when bad things happen, let our faith not quaiver. as humans, it's tough, but Jesus helps us!

Simba
Simba, O Simba...
he's cute, way cute.
every positions he's in, he's jus so adorable
you'll want to cuddle and play with him.
being tender in age, he constantly wears this blurry look on his face,
exploring new things, new faces, a new home
just like a baby, this lab pup sleeps almost all the time
only waking up to eat, drink, play & biting stuff
other names: xiao q, xiao p, gou gou, jazz, bronze just doesnt fit him
finally simba was decided upon
hopefully he'll grow up like Simba, strong, smart and suai!
i'm sure he will, esp in the hands of a dog lover, Herngy.
